The World’s Quietest Room

Scientists at Minneapolis’ Orfield Labs created their own soundless room, an anechoic chamber. Their studies have found that when putting subjects within the chamber, they begin to hallucinate within 30 minutes. 

With an average quiet room having a sound level of 30 decibels, the anechoic chamber’s sound level is -9 decibels. The ceiling, floor, and walls of the chamber absorb sound rather than have it bounce off as normal objects do. The chamber is so quiet that the subjects can even hear their own organs functioning.

Although extremely interesting, the experience is rather unpleasant. Not one subject has spent more than 45 minutes in the chamber alone. Leaving a person to only their thoughts, the chamber could drive them insane.

Amazingly scary.

Good provides secure, easy-to-use, and instant mobile access to data, applications, and services on hundreds of mobile devices. The campaign was more of a tease campaign and used common items that one automatically associates with protection and security.

Sound Waves in Light by Gabey Tjon A Tham

Using lighted wires, Gabey simulates sound waves which undulate and vibrate in accordance with the ambient noise emanating around them. I’m not positive, but I’m pretty sure this is what opens the dimension that Gozer the Traveler resides in.

I found this around the corner from my house in Tottenham High street. I only just found out about this ,since I ignorantly walked past this many times, it’s actually been there since 2009. 

I learnt that the council disapproved of this at first, but then decided to project the graffiti with a perspex cover instead of painting over it.
